Purifying Water Is Not Enough

Look, cleaning the chemicals and particles out of your drinking water is a good thing. But sometimes, you have to wonder whether your water is doing anything for you other than giving you a little exercise when you have to get up to go to the bathroom and release it back into the wild.

Alkaline Water Ionizer

I have been hearing a lot about this “alkaline” water that is gaining a foothold in the water industry. Some experts say we need the minerals that make the water alkaline, while others say we need the water to be ionized to make it alkaline, because the ions are what make the water such a good antioxidant.

In any case, I wanted to reveal some of the products I have found that I am trying to decide on for our water conversion needs. I am not doubting the research that ionized water is better for you than plain water. I want to find the water ionizer that does the most for the best price.

After all, if you pay $200 and the thing breaks after a week, then you are not saving money. But if you pay $5000 and you could have gotten one for $1500 that does pretty much the same thing and lasts just as long, then you are wasting money.

The other thing to worry about is the continual costs that come with the replacement filters. I see some that cost $150 per replacement filter while others are only $40. The question is, which combination is best?

So for the next month, we are going to write up some research on these filtration Ionizers and see which one appears to get the most bang for the buck. We are also going to look at user input, as some of these systems are getting rave reviews, but a couple people are giving bad reviews and we want to know why.

If you want to do your own research, here is a list of the ionizers currently on Amazon.
