“Love my Sodastream… with a word of warning and solution”

I love my Sodastream machine the convenience and variety of flavors are worth the purchase price… but you cannot save money using these machines unless you make your own syrups and/or use alternative ways to supply CO2.First the CO2. The… Read more

Scarlett Johansson's sexy SodaStream Super Bowl commercial banned by FOX!

Scarlett Johansson's new sexy SodaStream commercial has been banned by from appearing on air during this week's Super Bowl, but for all the wrong reasons.

Folks who endured two-plus hours of Joaquin Phoenix close-ups hoping to see the T&A behind the sultry-voiced operating system Samantha in Her will be disappointed to discover ScarJo wasn't the reason behind the commercial's ban.

The ad, released by home soda maker system SodaStream, includes a pointed jab at Coca-Cola and PepsiCo.

"Sorry, Coke and Pepsi," says ScarJo as she sensually sips on her home-made soda.

In an interview with USA Today, SodaStream CEO Daniel Birnbaum called out Fox for being wimps and kowtowing to the demands of the soft drink giants.

"What are they afraid of?" asked Birnbaum. "Which advertiser in America doesn't mention a competitor? This is the kind of stuff that happens in China. I'm disappointed as an American."

Birnbaum said his company has agreed to drop the apparently offensive line because he sees no other choice.

This isn't the first time the company has landed in hot water for going after Big Soda. CBS rejected a SodaStream spot intended for last year's Super Bowl because they found it called out other brands a bit too explicitly.
